How to choose a sofa bed

• Check the bed, not just the sofa: a large sofa does not always mean a large bed. The Sablo takes a full 90x200 mattress. On the fold-out models, compare the open bed size below with your tallest guest.
• Measure it open and closed: the open bed needs much more floor. Check the room for both, including the coffee table and doors.
• Mattress thickness: sofa bed mattresses are usually 10 to 13 cm thick. A thicker one tends to be more comfortable.
• How often guests stay: for the odd night, a fold-out bed of about 188 to 190 cm is enough. For frequent or tall guests, the Sablo daybed takes a full 90x200 mattress.

Common mistakes when choosing a sofa bed

• Choosing only for the bed: most of the year it is a sofa. Make sure the closed sofa suits the room.
• Forgetting the open size: the coffee table, a door or a radiator can stop the bed from opening fully.
• No space around the open bed: leave room around it, so a guest can get in and out.
• Not measuring the route in: measure the doors, hallway and stairs before you order.

What size sofa bed for a small room?

Compare the closed size of the sofa with your room, not just the bed size. The Sablo daybed is about 208 cm long. It never folds out, so it needs no extra floor at night. Leave free floor in front of a fold-out model for the open bed.
