Armchairs
1 resultsOur armchair is 64 cm wide, so it fits even a small corner. Put it next to the sofa as an extra seat, or in a quiet corner with a lamp. A side table beside it keeps a cup or a book within reach. For a seat that also sleeps a guest, see our sofa beds.
How to choose an armchair
- Upright or relaxed: a higher, shallower seat keeps you upright. A lower, deeper seat is for relaxing.
- Room around it: leave room in front to stretch your legs and to walk past.
- Away from heat: do not place an armchair right in front of a radiator, which dries out the cover.
- Material: PU (faux leather) wipes clean with a damp cloth and suits a busy living room.
Common mistakes when choosing an armchair
- Measuring only the room: check the chair's width and depth against your narrowest door.
- A seat that is too deep: your feet do not reach the floor and you slump. Compare the depth with a chair you already find comfortable.
- A cover that marks easily: pale covers show marks quickly in a busy living room. Black PU wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Dimensions and materials
- Width: 64 cm, small enough for a corner.
- Depth: 61 cm.
- Material: black PU (faux leather).
Goes well with
- Your sofa: a black armchair stands out next to a light grey or beige sofa, and blends in next to a dark one.
- A small table: a low side table beside the chair holds a cup or a book.
- Sofa beds: for a seat that also sleeps a guest, see our sofa beds.
Frequently asked questions
How high is an armchair?
It depends on the back. Ours is 81 cm high.
Where should an armchair go?
Next to the sofa or in a reading corner, with a lamp close by. Keep a clear route in front of it.
Which colour armchair goes with a grey or beige sofa?
A contrasting colour such as black makes the chair stand out. A shade close to the sofa blends in.
How big is an armchair?
Most armchairs are about 70 to 90 cm wide. Ours is 64 cm wide and 61 cm deep, so it fits a small corner.
