How to choose a 2-door wardrobe

• Width: measure the wall, then leave a few centimetres at each side for the doors and the skirting board.
• Door swing: hinged doors need free floor about as wide as each door. Check that the bed or a radiator does not block them.
• Hanging depth: a hanger needs about 50 cm of depth. A shallower cabinet is better for shelves.
• Inside: check how many rails, shelves and drawers each model has against what you store.

Common mistakes when choosing a 2-door wardrobe

• Forgetting the ceiling: a flat-pack wardrobe is usually built lying down and then tilted up. Check the room height against the assembly instructions.
• Skipping the wall fixing: tall wardrobes must be fixed to the wall with the fitting supplied.
• Measuring only the room: check that the boxes fit up the stairs and through the doors.

Wipe the doors and panels with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners. Do not leave water on the surface. Clean a mirror with a soft cloth and glass cleaner.
