How to choose a double bed

• Width per person: a 160x200 bed gives each person about 80 cm. A 140x200 bed gives each about 70 cm.
• Room around it: leave at least 60 cm on the sides you use, and about 75 cm if the room allows.
• Support in the middle: a base this wide needs support in the middle to stay stable. Check that the included base has it; if not, add middle legs.
• Storage: our beds with a storage trunk keep bedding and pillows under the mattress.

Common mistakes when choosing a double bed

• Squeezing a 160 cm bed into a small room: if there is not enough room to walk beside it, a 140x200 bed is the better choice.
• Forgetting the headboard: a tall headboard can cover a socket or a windowsill. Check that wall before you order.
• Forgetting a sloping ceiling: check that you can sit up at the head of the bed without bumping your head.

What size double bed for a small bedroom?

Choose a 140x200 bed. Its frame is about 150 cm wide, while our widest 160x200 frame is about 170 cm.

Caring for your bed

Wipe PU leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth, and metal with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners. Dust the slatted base now and then, or vacuum it with a soft brush.
