Cabinets
215 resultsOur cabinets range from wardrobes up to almost 270 cm wide to slim shoe cabinets for a narrow hallway. There are also storage cabinets, bookcases and washing machine cabinets. Most come in white, grey, beige or a brown wood look. For a child's room, see our dressers and bedside tables.
How to choose cabinets
- Depth for the job: hanging clothes need a cabinet at least about 50 cm deep, because a hanger is about 45 cm wide. Folded clothes fit in about 35 cm, and shoes and books need even less.
- Doors for the space: hinged doors need free floor in front. Sliding doors suit tight spots, such as next to a bed.
- Fixing to the wall: the European standard EN 14749 tests storage furniture for stability. At home, fix every tall cabinet with the wall fitting supplied.
- Wall type: brick, concrete and plasterboard all need wall plugs. Only a wooden stud, an upright beam inside the wall, takes a screw directly.
Common mistakes when choosing cabinets
- Heavy things at the top: put the heaviest items in the lowest drawers and shelves.
- Forgetting the doors: a hinged door needs free floor in front, about as wide as the door itself. Check that it can open fully.
- Letting children climb: never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors or shelves.
- Not measuring the route in: a cabinet that fits the room may still not fit the stairs. Check the box sizes.
What size cabinet for a small room?
Choose sliding doors where a door swing would block the way. Our slimmest one-door storage cabinets are narrower than any wardrobe. In a hallway, a drawer shoe cabinet is only 23 cm deep. Leave enough room in front to walk past.

Most of our cabinets are particleboard with a white, wood-look or coloured finish. Washing machine cabinets, dressers and bedside tables are MDF.
Which colour should you buy a cabinet in?
Ours come in white, brown oak looks, beige, grey and anthracite, and a few in red. White and light oak suit most rooms.
