Slatted Bases
13 resultsOur slatted bases come in single sizes from 70x190 to 90x200. Each is about 1 cm narrower than its mattress, so it drops neatly into the frame. Our single bases need no middle legs, which are for beds of 140 cm and wider.
How to choose a slatted base
- Match the mattress size: choose the base in the same size as your mattress, so it drops neatly into the frame.
- Slats close together: most mattress makers ask for slat gaps of no more than about 6 to 7 cm.
- Only single sizes: our bases go up to 90 cm wide. Our 140x200 and 160x200 beds already come with their own base.
Common mistakes when choosing a slatted base
- Measuring the outside of the frame: the base sits inside, so measure the inside.
- Ignoring the warranty: gaps wider than your mattress maker allows can damage the mattress and void the warranty.
- Forgetting the height: the base raises the mattress a little. Check this against the side rails.

The same size as your mattress. Ours run from 70x190 to 90x200, each slightly smaller so it sits inside the frame.

About 6 cm in every size. Add it to the mattress thickness when you check your frame.
How do you place and assemble a slatted base?
Put the kit together at home, then lay the base inside the bed frame.
When do I need middle legs under a slatted base?
Middle legs are meant for wide beds of 140 cm and more. Our single bases do not need them.
Does every slatted base fit every bed?
No. It has to match your mattress size and fit inside the frame.
