Bed Bases

Our bed bases

13 slatted bases, in three model families, all supplied in kit form.

• Zittaro : four sizes, 70, 80 and 90 wide.

• Ruby : the same four sizes as Zittaro, including a 90 x 190 for shorter frames.

• Alpha : the broadest range, five sizes, and the only 70 x 190 for the shortest frames.

• Supplied as a KIT : it arrives in parts, so it goes through a narrow door.

What a slatted base does

The base sits between the frame and the mattress, and it carries the load.

• It keeps the mattress flat : supported along the whole length rather than at the ends.

• It lets the mattress breathe : slats leave gaps where a solid board would not.

• It protects the mattress : even support means less sagging in one spot.

• It fits an existing frame : useful when the frame outlasts the base.

Buying a base on its own

Not every bed includes one, and replacements are ordered separately.

• Replacing a broken base : the frame stays, only the base is renewed.

• Beds sold without a base : check the product name before assuming one is included.

• A second bunk base : the 70 x 200 suits a bunk as well as a narrow bed.

• Assembly is yours : the KIT is put together on site, not delivered made up.
